Musical Monday-One Man Disney Movie

For today’s Musical Monday, I would like to share Nick Pitera as my featured artist.  Nick is SOOO talented and has an absolutely amazing range!  When you watch this video and find yourself wondering is that really him singing the high parts, yes it is!  His falsetto range is just incredible!  I think this video is so wonderfully creative!

So enjoy Nick Pitera’s One Man Disney Movie, featuring songs from Beauty and the Beast, Aladdin, Lion King, Little Mermaid, Enchanted, Hercules, Mulan, Jungle Book, and Pinnochio.

Musical Monday- Spell Block Tango

Okay, today’s Musical Monday is a Todrick Hall video.  It plays on the “Cell Block Tango” from the musical Chicago (one of my all time favorites).

Rather than the “6 Merry Murdresses of the Cook County Jail” this version features 6 Disney Villains (Cruella DeVille, Maleficent, Ursula, Scar, The Evil Queen, and the Queen of Hearts) as the 6 Merry Murdresses of the “Captain Hook County Jail.”

Disclaimer… I wouldn’t show this one to younger children.  Even though it awesome and Disney filled, it is dark, and has overt sexual references.

I think it’s such a wonderfully creative twist.  Enjoy this slightly dark Musical Monday.

Words of Walt- Perseverance

Today’s “Words of Walt” are about perseverance.

“Get a good idea, and stay with it.  Dog it, and work at it until it’s done, and done right.”

What a good message.  Sometimes it is easy to quit when things get hard.  Walt reminds us to stick with it.  Not only stick with it and finish it, but make sure it’s done right 🙂

30 Day Disney Challenge- Day 30 “Favorite Happy Ending”

Confessions of a Mouskaholic's 30 Day Disney Challenge

Confessions of a Mouskaholic’s 30 Day Disney Challenge

First of all, I would like to thank you for joining me on this 30 day journey!  I am excited to have done this Challenge every day, and have really enjoyed reading everyone’s comments on social media!  If you haven’t liked my facebook page, be sure to visit Confessions of a Mouskaholic and like the page!  And the best part about today being the last day of the challenge is that I leave for my personal Disney trip tomorrow morning!  I can hardly wait!

Alright, time for the last “favorite”, and how appropriate that it is about endings!  My favorite happy ending is the end of Wreck it Ralph.  I think it is great because Ralph was willing to sacrifice himself to save someone that he loved, and he realized that even though he’s a “Bad Guy” the good is inside of him.  It is a truly heartwarming story, and I love the creativity and the idea behind it!

I hope that you’ve all enjoyed this challenge!  Be sure to visit the facebook page to follow my trip, as well as get lots of Disney tips and tricks!  After my trip I will be resuming Tuesday’s Tip, Words of Walt (Thursdays) and Fun Fact Friday!  Stay Tuned!

30 Day Disney Challenge- Day 22 “Favorite Live Action Movie”

Confessions of a Mouskaholic's 30 Day Disney Challenge

Confessions of a Mouskaholic’s 30 Day Disney Challenge

Alright, a few months ago I posted my “Top Ten Animated Disney Movies” post, and had every intention of following up with a “Top Ten Live Action Disney Movie”… In fact, I have the draft saved, I just never got around to finishing it up!  Perhaps I will get that done after the 30 day challenge and vacation are over!  So I guess today’s post will be a little bit of a spoiler as I officially declare my “Favorite Live Action Disney Movie.”

This truly is a difficult decision, and is part of the reason that I haven’t finished my Top 10 list!  But I’m going to have to go with “The Rocketeer” as my favorite live action.

My parents taped it off of the Disney channel for me and my brother when we were little (for younger readers, “taping” is something we did on VHS tapes with a VCR, before the days of DVR.)  I just feel in love with this movie.  It had the love story where the good guy gets the girl, and lots of Nazi fighting action!  It is a great story line with a wonderful cast.  If you’ve never seen it, I highly recommend it!

The Rocketeer

Fun fact- If you ever visit the Sci-Fi Dine In theater at Hollywood Studios, be sure to look for the Rocketeer’s helmet as you enter from the lobby!
