Fun Fact Friday- Disney Transportation

Staying at Walt Disney World is made very simple with Walt Disney World Transportation.  Disney’s Magic Express picks you up at the airport, and if you’re not leaving Disney property you can get around without a rental car because Disney transportation is wonderful!  There are water taxis, buses, and monorails.   Here are some fun figures about the Disney transportation system!

On average 250,000 people a day use Disney transportation.

There are 270 buses used on Disney property (this is not including the Disney Magic Express)

There are 12 monorails that run on two separate tracks (One going to the Magic Kingdom, Contemporary Resort, Polynesian Resort, and the Grand Floridian, and the second going to Ticket and Transportation and Epcot.)

There are also 4 trains at the Magic Kingdom- each train has 5 cars and can hold approximately 360 Guests and 2 wheelchairs. The train names are: Walter E. Disney (red), Lilly Belle (green),Roger E. Broggie (yellow),Roy O. Disney (blue)
