Did you know that the aquarium at “The Seas with Nemo and Friends” (Formerly “The Living Seas”) is large enough to hold Spaceship Earth? The attraction opened in 1986, 4 years after Epcot opened. It holds 5.7 million gallons of saltwater, and is the second largest Aquarium in the nation, second only to the Atlanta Aquarium. After the huge success of Finding Nemo, the theming of the pavilion underwent a massive overhaul and was transformed to what we now know as “The Seas with Nemo and Friends.” Did you know there is a restaurant in the pavilion as well? Coral Reef Restaurant serves up mahi mahi, steak, and other entrees as guests face the massive aquarium. Kinda makes you feel guilty as you sit and enjoy your fish dinner!
